New local ales are now in stock

We now have a new line of local ales and beers available at our Rosehill store in Carlisle.

Brack ‘n’ Brew products are truly unique with their Cumbrian names and label designs; they are not only fantastic tasting, but make wonderful gifts to those who appreciate real ale and beer.

Overlooking the idyllic shores of Ullswater in the Lake District, Brack ‘n’ Brew started brewing beers back in 2015. Ben Clementson, master brewer, is proud of the fact that the micro-brewery produces the only ales local to Ullswater and is looking forward to his ales appearing in our store. He says: “Working with Pioneer is huge for us; it will open up opportunities for our range of beers to be enjoyed not just by the few but the many.

We have only been working with Pioneer a very short time but having met the team, their enthusiasm and passion for promoting locally produced products is matched by our passion to produce great beer and we very much look forward to building our relationship together.”

The ‘Boathouse Blonde’ was their first success and now they have five different ales to enjoy:

The Rambling Bookkeeper – with a mellow honey aroma, moderate hop bitterness this ale has a sweet roast malt taste.

Boathouse Blonde – with a hoppy nose, hints of grapefruit and a bitter but refreshing taste, this blonde packs a punch!

Alfred’s Golden Ale – this is a very popular, light and crisp golden ale, with a balanced hop flavour, packed with citrus aroma and a hint of spice.

The Steamer’s Stout – this stout is blended with Bruce & Luke’s Coffee espresso beans creating a rich stout with notes of chocolate, caramel and dark fruit.

Aira Force IPA – loaded with a combination of five different hop varieties, this powerful IPA is bursting with flavour.
