The flood affected residents of Willow Park in Carlisle recently enjoyed a special afternoon tea treat courtesy of McKnight Homes and Trade Windows and Doors.

All the elderly residents had been affected by the storm Desmond floods which swept the city in December 2015. Held in The Auctioneer Suite on Tuesday 15th November, the get together was a lovely opportunity for the residents to celebrate moving back home after reinstatement works were completed.

The two Carlisle contracting firms worked tirelessly to ensure that all the residents’ homes were restored as quickly and easily as possible and wanted to treat everyone to a pre-Christmas celebration. The 33 residents and their friends tucked into their afternoon teas with relish and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to catch up with acquaintances.

David Jenkins, our Sales Director, gave a short speech on behalf of the residents, thanking all the representatives from McKnight Homes and Trade Windows and Doors for their hard work and commitment.

Each resident was then presented with a hamper. Put together by Pioneer Foods, the hampers gave the residents lovely treats from many local suppliers.
