Staff attend Leadership & Management Skills course
Recently, a number of our staff members attended and successfuly completed a Leadership & People Management Skills course.
Julie Bell Consulting Ltd held the two-day course at our headquarters in Rosehill, Carlisle.
Staff who attended the course are already in supervisory roles or stepping up to the role in the near future. The course covered the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor, self awareness, how to manage performance, setting work objectives, delegating tasks and building positive relationships with your role.
Sarah Dhesi, our HR manager, said: “Everyone who completed the course really enjoyed their time with Julie. She’s very friendly and approachable, making the learning process easy. Staff who are sometimes reserved in their roles at work, threw themselves into the course. This helps them come out with an array of new skills that they can put in practice in both their current and prospective roles. Investing in our staff helps in our career progression planning while giving them the confidence to aim higher.”
Our telesales supervisor, Julie Hocking, was one of the staff who took part in the course and can’t praise it enough. “Julie Bell was so friendly and helpful. I’ve come away learning how think through and deal with different situations step-by-step; instead of perhaps jumping into something straight away. I’ll definately be implementing what I learnt in my role. I got such a lot out of the course,” Julie said.
