Supporting young footballers
We’re proudly sponsoring a west Cumbrian girls’ football team.
This season you’ll find our logo on the back of the training kits of Cleator Moor Celtic Under 14’s girl team.
Women’s football hit the headlines this year when the Lionesses won the Euros and the England/Germany clash has certainly gone on to inspire many.
There are now many opportunities for girls across the county to take up the sport and Cleator Moor Celtic is one such club. With almost three million registered players, football is now the top participation sport for women and girls in England. Football helps young people develop their skills in four key areas: physical, technical, psychological and social skills.
Grassroots football is also an integral part of the FA’s strategy in developing key players of the future. However, many teams rely upon community sponsorship to help them with their kits and we were only too happy to help.
Mark Sisson from the club says: “The girls love their jackets and we would like to thank Pioneer Foodstore for the support.”
We wish the club all the best for the new season and we hope you have lots of fun training in your new jackets!
