Supporting the Great North Air Ambulance

On Thursday 18th December we held our annual Christmas Jumper Day celebrations.

From smiling Santas to elfishly cool jumpers, we put on our smiles and knitwear to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.

While the jumpers were light-hearted, the cause behind them is anything but. The Great North Air Ambulance delivers life-saving critical care to people across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria, often in the most challenging circumstances. From roadside emergencies to remote rural incidents, their specialist crews bring hospital-level treatment directly to those who need it most — sometimes making the difference between life and death. As a charity that relies almost entirely on public donations, the Great North Air Ambulance can only continue its vital work with community support. That’s why Christmas Jumper Day matters. It’s a simple, inclusive way for us to come together, have a bit of festive fun, and contribute to a service that so many of us — or our families, friends and neighbours — may one day rely on.Thank you to everyone who wore a jumper, donated, and helped spread the word. A small act, a warm jumper, and a shared purpose can go a long way — especially when it helps keep lifesaving care flying across our region.

We’re proud to say we raised a grand total of £225.62 for the charity!
